KeySpeech is a voice recognition software that interprets voice commands using a virtual keyboard in your simulator.
If your simulator supports commands linked to the keyboard, then KeySpeech can execute these commands by voice recognition.
You will notice the image of a plane in the software's screens that is synonym of precision and reliability.
Thank you for using KeySpeech.
Please follow the steps below to learn how to use KeySpeech.
After installing KeySpeech, you must adjust your microphone and set the speech recognition system to create or edit a voice profile.Go to Windows Taskbar, then right click on KeySpeech's icon, then click on Speech Profile manager menu item.
This utility allows you to backup or restore your speech recognition profile. To set the speech recognition system, click on the Advanced Options link (bottom) to open the Speech Properties panel.
Now you can create and edit a speech recognition profile and configure the microphone.
Do multiple training sessions to improve speech recognition system.
This step is to adjust the KeySpeech's settings.
Go to Windows Taskbar, then right click on KeySpeech's icon, then click Settings menu item.
KeySpeech uses a Push To Talk (PTT) pattern. To execute a voice command, you must assign a keyboard hotkey. Once the hotkey is pushed, the voice recognition is on, and when the hotkey is released, the voice recognition is off. Go to the Control tab and use buttons Add, Delete, Edit to configure a keyboard hotkey.
When your speech profile will be optimized, you might set a speech recognition accuracy's level. Go to the Accuracy tab and move the Confidence (%) slider from left to right to increase the accuracy and right to left to decrease accuracy.
To modify how voice recognition handles silence or unexpected input, use the Confidence, Babble Timeout, Initial Silence Timeout, End Silence Timeout, and End Silence Timeout Ambiguous sliders.Confidence: The confidence level is a value that indicates how ambiguous words should be treated. Use Medium or High for native English speakers, and Low for non-native speakers. More you train your voice (see step 1 above) more you could use high value.Babble Timeout: Set the time interval during which KeySpeech accepts input containing only background noise, before finalizing recognition. Reducing the Babble Timeout can be useful in noisy environments. In quieter environments, however, this may result in prematurely finalizing a recognition.Initial Silence Timeout: Set the time interval during which KeySpeech accepts input containing only silence before finalizing recognition.End Silence Timeout: Set the interval of silence that KeySpeech will accept at the end of unambiguous input before finalizing a recognition operation.End Silence Timeout Ambiguous: Set the interval of silence that KeySpeech will accept at the end of ambiguous input before finalizing a recognition operation.
This step is to manage the voice commands.
Go to the Windows taskbar, double-click on KeySpeech's icon, or right click on KeySpeech's icon, then click on the Voice Command manager menu item.
To open the Voice command editor, double-click on the item within the grid or click on the Edit column's button from the Voice command manager. Then click in the cell within the Voice command editor's grid to edit values.
The Repeat column's value means the number of times that the key combination will be executed. The Pause column's value means the time in second that the key combination remain depressed. The Delay column's value means the time in second before executing the key combination.
One of the nice feature is the synonym words within phrase. To open the Synonym editor, click on Dictionary in Tools menu item.
This concludes the important steps to start using KeySpeech. Enjoy !
